Really really really tasty and rich!
Ingredients – 4 persons
- 6 eggs
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla flavour
- 500 ml milk
- 250g flour
- pinch of salt
- 50g butter
- powdered sugar
Step 1:
Seperate the egg white from the yolk and beat the egg white until firm. Beat the yolk, together with sugar and vanilla flavour, until foamy, too.
Step 2:
Add alternately milk and flour to the yolk mixture and mix well, also add the salt and the melted butter and mix under again. Fold in the beaten egg white.
Step 3:
Heat up a pan with butter (middle heat), when butter melted fill with dough about 1cm high. When the bottom is brown, turn the dough and wait until brown again. Usually they rip the dough apart, I just cut it with a knife!
Serve with powdered sugar on top and apple sauce or plum compote.
Traditionally they put raisins in the dough, but I hate them, so I skip them. If you want to use some: soak 100g raisins with 5 tbsp water/rum/cognac for at least 30 min before use.
