Panna cotta is so easy and quick to make, but it looks super fancy!
Ingredients
- 1/4 C cold milk
- 2 1/4 tsp (7 g/0.25 oz.) unflavored powdered gelatin
- 2 C heavy cream
- 1/4 C granulated sugar
- 1/2 vanilla bean, split and seeded, or 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Step 1:
Sprinkle gelatin over cold milk in a thin layer, then let sit for about 5-10 min to soften.
Step 2:
Mix cream, sugar and (I used) vanilla extract in a medium cooking bowl. Heat the cream mix up on medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Don’t let it boil too long though!
Step 3:
Stir the gelatin-milk-mix well and pour into cream, stir immediately well until gelatine is completely dissolved.
Fill your panna cotta cream in glasses and refrigerate for at least 2h.
I used blended berries as my topping. The tartness works very well with the sweet cream.
