In our home my husband is responsible for bbq/meat, so I never made it by myself, but its really tasty. The coffee gives an earthy flavour.

You can also use it for ribs or any other meat you want to season, but CAUTION: you need to adjust the amount of salt etc., if it’s less meat.

Ingredients

  • 1 C + 2 tbsp + 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 C salt
  • 1 C coffee
  • 1/4 C pepper
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp cayenne
  • 2 1/4 tsp cumin, ground
  • 2 tbsp + 2 tsp garlic powder

Step 1: Rub the meat

Mix all the ingredients together and rub it on the brisket. Let it sit for 1 hour in the fridge, so the meat can get the flavour.

Step 2: Cook it

We usually do it on the bbq or smoker, but you can do it in the oven too, of course. 3hours / 150°C

Source: My hubby got this recipe from a friend who usually does it. So when he ate it at our home he said it’s super weird, because he never ate it somewhere else than his home.
